Employees of the São Paulo Metro and Urban Cleaning removed graffiti and posters from the Trianon-Masp station on the morning of Monday, 12 October 2026, after a pro‑Lula rally the previous day.
The rally, held on Sunday, 11 October, occupied seven blocks of Avenida Paulista between Rua Haddock Lobo and Alameda Joaquim Eugênio de Lima. The PT claimed one million participants, though no methodology was disclosed. Power360 estimated the occupied area at 65,177.42 m²; with a density of four people per square metre, the crowd could have reached about 261 000 individuals, not counting adjacent streets.
At 11 h, Power360 observed workers at the two entrances of Trianon-Masp; one scraped away posters while a cleaning vehicle sprayed water to erase graffiti. The neighboring stations Brigadeiro and Consolação were already free of markings when the journalists arrived.
The cleaning effort was visible, but municipal authorities have not released an official plan for restoring the stations or preventing future vandalism, leaving residents to question the city’s response.
